"Yes, it's Raggedy Ann on the lap of some musician from San Francisco. I was hired to shoot Ann in Central Park in 1975. She had one problem: she hung out with very interesting, if not strange, musicians. She would meet them, go out with them, and then they would dump her. She hung with (and was dumped by) the best groups—The Stones, The Who, Elvis (and I am told that she caused him to binge on peanut butter and bananas). Then she hooked up with the Dead, and she was Grateful for it. This would make a great feature film love story—I can see it now: Grateful Dead meets a very small redhead." -REA
