Gov't Mule was formed in 1994 by Allman Brothers Band guitarist Warren Haynes as a
side project for those times when the Allmans weren't performing or recording. Touring and intense jam-band shows have built the fan base as the music transcended Hayne's love of
60's era power trios. Now a riff rock, blues rock, reggae rock quartet with Haynes on guitar
and vocals, Matt Abts on drums, Danny Louis on keyboards and Andy Hess on bass, Gov't Mule
is largely defined by Haynes, the thinking man's guitar slinger, whose fluid drive technique is matched by his impeccable taste.
