A photo journey with My Chemical Romance

We gave My Chemical Romance a Nikon D300, a crash course on using the camera and a two week deadline. They gave us an amazing glimpse of their world.

About My Chemical Romance

You'll use up your allotment of slashes and dashes trying to describe My Chemical Romance's music. You'll try art/punk or glam-emo or glam/power/punk or goth-alt rock and then give it up. Formed in 2001, the current lineup is Gerard Way, vocals; Frank Iero and Ray Toro, guitars; Mikey Way, bass; and Bob Bryar, drums—five musicians with energy, ideas and influences to burn. Their third album, The Black Parade, was released in the fall of '06, and people are still trying to figure out what they were thinking. Whatever their thoughts, the album launched four hit singles and topped one magazine's best and worst album poll; of course, My Chemical Romance was simultaneously named both best and worst band. Two things are sure: no one who hears them walks away neutral, and they'll never repay their debt to Queen. But who could?
